About The Teacher:
Lori Pope was raised in Northern California, graduating from Rio Linda Academy in 1976. She then went to Pacific Union College for two years before transferring to La Sierra University where she graduated in 1980. She has taught for a total of thirty-three years, taking a nine year break to be a mom. Thirty of those years have been in 5th grade. She lives in Grand Terrace with her husband. Lori has been a master teacher for students from the Loma Linda University Education department and a mentor teacher to new teachers. She was the chairperson for Loma Linda Academy's K - 6 Curriculum Committee for 10 years, is the current co-chair of the TK- 6 Curriculum Committee, and the upper elementary rep on the TK - 12 Curriculum Committee. She runs the Elementary Lego Robotics Program, and coached a team for eight years - two of the teams went on to win the National SDA competition. She has been nominated by former students to be in the Who's Who Among America's Teachers Yearbook.

My mission is to teach children to love Jesus, accepting Him as their personal Savior; to love others, no matter how they are alike or different from themselves; and to be amazed at all the wonderful things God has created for all of us to learn.
